He also founded it's sister company, Sarah Coventry. There is a thorough and interesting discussion of this manufacturer in Lillian Baker's "Fifty Years of Collectible Fashion Jewelry, 1925 - 1975. According to Lillian Baker----the Emmons Co. was Incorporated in Feb. 1949 and then Sarah Coventry came into being 8 months later-It was only sold at home parties---mostly in the 50's and is now collectible and getting scarce.* item#brooch100 |
