| I wish I could have gotten a picture of this yarn where it shines as much as in real life. Soft and supple with a shine like newly fallen snow. Made from 100% Ingeo, or corn fiber, this is a great substitution for silk for those who are vegans, or might have other issues with it. If you wanted to try dyeing the yarn you would have to use a fiber reactive dye, or one meant for cellulose (plant) fibers. Acid dyes won't work on this. I'm happy to dye this yarn for you, if you'd rather, just send me a convo and we can work it out. 2 ply, one skein put up, 210 yards of sport weight or for those who like WPI's it's around 14. As with almost every handspun out there please expect a slight variation in the course of the yarn. Oh yeah, while this may be 100% corn, I wouldn't recommend eating it. We joke around the office here that if I mixed corn, bamboo, and soy silk we'd have a balanced meal. Not crazy enough to try that though, I'll stick with making balanced yarns instead. Please remember that all monitors display colors differently. Every effort has been made to display pictures that are representative of the true color of each product. I am happy to offer combined shipping rates. |
