| This is it! The top of the line in Regalia Clothing Outfits Regalia Womans Top Decor and Matching Skirt From the private collection of D.D.Dennis Age? Unknown? But, he bought it over 20 years ago. This is a remarkable Dance Regalia item. Mr. Dennis knows he bought it over 20 years ago to go into his private collection of Native American Indian hand crafted items. He states the leather strapping is "Brain Tanned White Buckskin" as this is what was told to him when he purchased it. It appears correct. We believe upon close examination this appears to have been made from a used pendelton blanket. Our reasoning is based two fold? 1. The fabic itself has the strip border design: Classic Pendelton: See photos 2. This is heavey material and appears to be wool in nature. Condition: Annlee examined and there are very minor things that could use a touch up. The brain tanned white buckskin strappings/fringe need cleaning. (dry cleaning is suggested) Jacket: This should fit small, and medium woman...possibly Large at max Length: Front: Neck to bottom of bodice is 16 3/4 inches Back: Neck to bottom of jacket 14 1/2 inches Neck to end of the sleeve is 21 3/4 inches open sleeve end at cuff (not adjustable) Around bottom of jacket 39 1/2 inches circumfrence It has beautiful and real bones decorating sleeves and front and back of the jacket and each hand sewn on with sinue. The center piece is a Sterling Silver Concho that is stamped (signed) (Dule Triangles) And, two sterling silver horse pins also stamped and signatured. A fringe of 4 1/2 inches crosses across the chest area as accent. See Photos Bottom and Arm Fringe Length is 28 1/2 inches long from all points attached: See photos This jacket is also highly decorated in hand seedbeaded designs: Colors used: purple iridesent, light purple, blue,red,yellow and white translucent appear to be size 10 or 11 seed beads. Annlee believes an excellant expert in the art of seed beading did the beading; as it is very uniform tight and the designs are very static. No zipper: Has velcrow and hook and eye closures which appear added after its original creation. Skirt: Same material as the jacket. Waist: 32 inches end to end: So should fit 29.30 and 31 inch waist Has an 8 inch side zipper Has the bone by the hem and beading by the hem. Has a nice sewn split at bottom edge for movement. Very well done! Fringe below the hem: Length is 7 inches long. Clearly, this is a very unique and quite heavy Womans Dance Regalia Outfit. Condition is beautiful with only a good dry cleaning needed ASAP We can imagine how spectacular this would be when viewed dancing around the Great Circle? Need more information?
