| Norther Styled Womans Breast Plate From the private collection of D.D.Dennis Age? Unknown? But, he bough it over 20 years ago. This is a beautiful absolutely hand crafted womans breast plate using bone hair pipe and pony beads. Leather spacers were used. Annlee rated the condition as she sees it: Used, but in very good condition and ready to be used. Length: 48 inches Width at widest: 12 inches Has three metal conchos Not real silver! Wrap around neck: Has a hand made soft leather neck comforter is nice condition, but needs cleaning. It has TWO Real pink shell cones added for style, and are in perfect condition. Hand crafted and you can see the workmanship when viewed close at hand. End drops below the pony beads are metal small cones. Not real silver but metal cones! Hair pipe is 4 1/2 inches and 4 inch. This would be a great additon to any Regalia and or for reenactors to use. This is a used womans native american northern styled hanging breast plate adornment. Sold as is! We did see, under close inspection, that a couple of the bone hairpipes were fixed using we believe a 4 1/2 plastic hairpipe. Approximately 14 we found or suspect to be plastic and not bone as we can detect. The rest which are the 4 inch Hair pipe are with appear to be real bone, and of the real bone ones there are at least two with small holes where you can see the bone structure itself confirming they are real bone. We susupect this may be older than we think and a hand-me-down where the younger generation added the plastic hairpipe to repair? The leather spacing units were each hand cut and created. This is evident upon inspection that shows they are not all the exact same widths and show hand cutting edges that were extremely well done. The lines at the leather: The leather itself was scored for each drop line and that indicates a very good Native Crafter did hand craft this Regalia unit. The unit is heavy! Well constructed!
