| This just may be one of the rarest bottles we have seen for a very long time? What we do know positively: It was hand blown for the Axtamap Company from Armenia in Europe. Originally was filled with 10 Year Old APAPAT. We do know: Apapat is Armenian and is a cognac brandy that is grown from the cognac plant and distilled,aged and bottled in Armenia. Depending on the bottle it can be found rare and very expensive. History we know: A US soldier brought this back from 1945, World War Two and had bought it in Armenia. He brought it back to the USA and to the State of Kansas. He gave it to his friend Quincey Gilliland. From that point of time we all have searched the internet for any tid bit about this beautiful and exquisite hand blown Fish Bottle. With hand etched glass decorations adoring the sides, and 2 crafted glass feet, and let us not forget the perfect blown bubble tail that has a "blowing bubble" declaring its age, and two fantastic holder indents from the glass blowers tool holding the hot glass to blow the bottle (RARE) We believe it is a Gar Fish! We believe it is at least 10 years older than 1945: 1935 or earlier for sure! What we see as to Fish Bottle Condition? 1. The neck opening has chips and appears that the soldier tried smoothing it or grinding it? 2. The cork is clearly not original. 3. The glass has wear scratches which are visible if you look very closely and are seeking them out. 4. The AXTAMAP logo sticker is absolutely mint. 5. The glass etchings are in remarkable to mint condition. 6. The stem just below the bottom of the cork you see has a 2cm line which we cannot tell if was there when created or a possible tiny crack in the neck? But, we note what we see. 7. We find NO CHIPS anywhere except as noted the bottle opening. 8. Length: 21 1/2 inches Width leg to leg: 2 inches Height: 4 1/4 This is offered from the private collection of Quincey Gilliland.
